On 14 November, Belavista Faculty welcomed Diogo Costa Gonçalves to deliver a lecture on ‘The Reform of the Brazilian Civil Code: a comparative perspective with Portuguese law’.
Diogo Costa Gonçalves also gave a lecture at the Belavista Faculty on the Project of Law No. 4/2005 for the Reform of the Brazilian Civil Code.
According to Ricardo Castagna, coordinator of the Law course at the Belavista Faculty, the topic is of particular importance as it deals with significant changes to the Brazilian Civil Code, allowing for a comparison with Portuguese practice — which has had and continues to have a great influence on Brazilian law — and helping to understand the direction of the reform and the future of Private Law in Brazil.
